I sure hope this isn't one of those cases where authorities are saying, "oh, well, it's just as well that they're gone."
I suspect it's quite the opposite.

It would seem unusual if the fiancé and her mother don’t know who she left with. Someone who is that far along in her pregnancy was probably not out socializing and meeting a lot of new people. The situation seems very odd.
This is what I am thinking too. Leaving at 11:30pm to go somewhere, with someone, to do something she needs to do, with one centimeter dilated? The mom, the fiance would be OK with this? It doesn't up in her condition.

I don’t know how it is in Michigan but in my state if there’s already an active CPS case against you (or specifically one in which children have been taken from you and they aren’t in your custody) any following baby you give birth to will be taken away at the hospital. Only when the previous case officially closes does this stop. Babies are also very commonly taken (as they should be) when they and/or the mom test positive for drugs.*

I don’t know if this has been discussed before but could RP have anticipated either or both of these two scenarios happening, so she fled to give birth “underground” in a misguided attempt to keep the baby?

There’s someone I know who gave up rights to her three oldest children (and went to jail for unpaid child support) who got pregnant after serving the time. She was very gleeful, proudly announcing that CPS couldn’t take this baby from her because she signed away rights to her other three and closed the case.

*I vaguely remember a case where a baby was allowed to go home with the mom despite testing positive for everything under the sun and unsurprisingly the baby ended up being killed from neglect/abuse.

Well 1 cm dilated assuming that’s what that’s referencing can be the case for weeks.

Just because she’s pregnant or heading to labor in the next week or 2 doesn’t mean she’s going to change maladaptive habits she’s always engaged in.

ETA - I was just being hopeful that her pattern stuck. I think there’s a lot of negative people surrounding her
Correct and almost always the case for babies after your first.

I find it extremely weird that Rebecca's fiancé did not have that trip to her mom discussed with her beforehand. You know, the basic logistic issues, what time she goes there, what time she returns, what means of communication would she use. Why did her fiancé learn from Becca's mom only that she had that return with the mystery man in car with tinted windows lined up? Why not from Becca? He was allegedly in constant contact with her!

That brings us to another issue here. Rebecca was reported missing by her half-sister. NOT by her fiancé. And that makes me rise my eyebrows. Heavily pregnant woman on the verge of labour suddenly ceases contact with her partner. She does not return home for the night, she does not pick up her phone. A normal reaction of a loving partner would be call every emergency service and all saints at once. Why was her concerned fiancé not concerned enough to report her missing?

Sheriff calls for stop to social media rumors
Online rumors and criticisms are hampering the investigation and efforts to find Park, and have led the Wexford County Sheriff’s Office to be “unable to share information” about the case, police said in a news release obtained by WPBN/WGTU.

Extensive searches have been conducted in the area where Park was last seen, including by law enforcement and by volunteers, the release said. No additional evidence was found during either search. A new group, calling themselves a “recovery team” is now in the area but is not affiliated with law enforcement.

The sheriff’s office does not have evidence that Park was assaulted and is not in possession of bloody clothing, which has been rumored online, police said.

According to Richard while on a recorded interview over tik tok, He stated that her bio mom picked her up around 6:45 and she said she'd be back in a couple of hours. They were going to Culver's to get milk shakes, and this was also when she was supposed to recieve the $2000 cash. Richard stated that he then fell asleep at 7:45 and didn't wake up until the next morning. He stated that after she did not respong, he pinged her phone via her google account on a second phone of hers that was at home with him since it was only usable via wifi. This is also when Richard saw multiple texts and calls from Cortney. He claimed that he told her sister Kimberly where the phone was located, and the sister informed Cortney who then retrieved the phone. He wasn't concerned because they're not normal people or partners. He pointed out that she had a tendency to "wander" so it wasn't out of the question that she'd be gone.

I still don’t understand the 2k cash. There must be a paper trail leading back to the origin, either a bank account withdrawal by someone or from a larger sum from a bequest. Hopefully LE has that information.

Equally concerning is the casual attitude regarding Becca’s supposed tendency to wander given the impending birth. Her due date has passed so where is she and where is her baby?

Too much time has elapsed with no sign of Rebecca. The fact that she went to the hospital when she thought she was in labor implies that she is planning a hospital birth so it doesn’t seem like she was trying to evade anyone such as authorities or people in her life.

So what happened? I’m sorry the online drama has impacted the investigation; I guess it’s the way social media works now and I doubt it’ll stop.

The online drama is really all that's left for the public to cling to at this point. Ther is very little viable information to work with, and it leads to wild speculation. In my opinion, nobody in her life appears trustworthy, so what they have to say should be taken with a grain of salt. Not one of them appears particularly upset. The only folks who have been silent, and rightly so, are her adoptive family. I think LE could do a bit more to give people an idea of what they're seeing. I think it's one of two things: They don't suspect foul play, so all they can do is show concern. Or, they do suspect foul play and they need more time to work out what happened. Probably not an easy task.

Wonder if Rebecca knew this. 🤔She called him her husband on her social media.

True. They were not officially married though. According to Richard, there had been cheating.
On another tangent, it sounds like they had to move in with Richard's dad after getting cleared out of their previous living arrangement. Basically living in campers on a property that got caught in a raid. About 2.5 weeks later, she's missing.

I haven't seen this other facebook of hers linked - though maybe I missed an earlier post. This FB has links to her Instagram, Spotify, and TikTok accounts.

That's bizarre, mentioning the cheating in such moment. Equally bizarre is Richard's claim that he was not concerned with her vanishing because they are not normal people or partners. I mean what about his child she was carrying, the child that was about to be born? Where is his concern about his child?

It's more fishy than a barrell full of fish.

I do wonder if perhaps she is in hiding, either from CPS if she's afraid they will take the baby, or from some of those around her in her life. I live a couple of hours away and the fighting, name-calling and vitriol back and forth on social media is horrendous. I hope she decided to get away to create a better life for herself and the baby. I wonder if she doesn't want to even call law enforcement to tell them she is OK because she doesn't want many in her life to know and may be afraid of what would happen if they do know that she is out there somewhere. I'm praying for her and the baby.

IMO not likely that she was trying to get out of the situation. Richard stated that she was "hitting the pipe about 4 times a day" right up until the day she disappeared. Her visit to the hospital, thinking she was in labor, showed that she fully intended to deliver the baby right there in Cadillac. I have a feeling that her living situation about 2 1/2 weeks prior to her disappearance may be the best clue out there, avoiding her bio mom's distractions. The property got raided and she was 1 of only 3 people there who didn't get arrested on serious drug charges.

What a proud father to be sharing moment! "She was only hitting the pipe about 4 times a day". I'm hoping she left to go to a live in momma and baby rehab to try to get clean for herself and child. IMO

Richard sure likes throwing shade at Rebecca. He likes it way too much for my taste.
