As far as I recall from the live streams, Richard's home security cameras had shown that Rebecca was collected that evening around 6:30pm like he said, and that Richard hadn't left the house that night at all.
He is a convicted felon and may have other matters but in my opinion he wasn't involved in whatever happened to Rebecca.
If their evil and stupid plan had worked, and Cortney ended up with the newborn baby she so desperately wanted (imo), I wonder if she planned on raising it as the child of her and Rich?

For some reason, I think she was ready to kick Bradley to the curb, so I don't think he would've been in her plan. Oh, he may have been involved in helping her attempt to get the baby, but IMO, not after that.

So I suspect that leaves Rich. If so, question is, was he aware of this before the fact or not? JMO

I know you said your *opinion* is that he isn't involved because he didnt leave the house but it is very easy to have someone else do the dirty work, especially if you've just come into a bit of money.

Lock up of active users does seem to do alot for squeezing info out of those jonesing for a fix and warm bed.

Bless the father who at least was out looking.

Screw everyone else who never showed love or nurturing for this poor woman, a victim of circumstances into which she was born.

There was a brief press conference tonight at 9pm. Lots of No Commnts answers.
There was one particular questions asked by the interviewer that stood out to me “Any arrests yet”… to which the officers replied with “it’s early on in the investigation and that they don’t believe the citizens are in danger….”
This PC was live at 9pm EST however upon researching ways to watch it (I’m in Canada and Bill C-18 and a meta have denied access to News on Meta based websites) I did find that RBs significant other was arrested and booked Nov 25 2025 at 7:33pm est.
This arrest could be on unrelated matters, but the timing seems kinda suspicious IMO…
Well I don't know how much I can say given that LE isn't naming names yet but someone very close to this case (same person you mentioned) is currently showing up as "in custody" on Vinelink.

WoW!
I know many of us were thinking this is how it might end, but that doesn't make it any easier finding out she was murdered.

Lots of rumors about the baby happening online and none of them are good- if true, it makes it so much more hideous that her father found her. Given she has been missing for 3 weeks, the state her body was in must have been awful.

My thoughts and prayers to Rebecca's father and all who truly cared about her. I was really hoping this case would turn out okay.

Heartbroken!

Yes. Per Vinelink, RF was taken in custody on 11/25. Rebecca’s sister KP was taken into custody early this morning.

I am waiting for TOD before I speculate too hard on the matter but think it is possible that Becca didn't die the night she went missing. It may be that she was held alive somewhere for some reason and later died or was killed after a period of captivity. JMO

Otherwise I think it would be more likely that an odor led to her body's discovery rather than a visual sighting only.

with her body found reportedly on national forest land, I wonder if federal officials will become involved. FBI maybe? I am hopeful they will because I don't think this sheriff's department is prepared to handle this case.

If the area has been searched unsuccessfully....

And if she was still rather identifiable...

It does make a case that she was moved there.... all of which can make the case that she might have been kept alive for a time. Where and with whom, I can't imagine.

Kept up until and through her due date comes to mind.

When pregnant women go missing, the ugly law of averages says it's the partner or someone wants the baby.

One autopsy or two?

Can't stop thinking about the baby.

I haven't seen any mention of the state of her remains in MSM, ie. whether she was still pregnant when located or whether it appears she had given birth prior to her death. Nor have I read anything about when autopsy(ies?) will be performed. Hopefully the autopsy will reveal much. Until then I just don't even know what to say. I will note that not one word was said in the presser about Becca's baby. If a baby was unaccounted for and possibly alive out there somewhere, I would expect there to be alarms raised and loudly.

I guess I am just really hoping for something good out of this mess. I would hate to think that Becca's baby died with her. :(

Crazy to see Becca's sister in custody.
IIRC, she was the one who reported Becca missing in the first place.
Woof, this is an ugly mess.
WHERE IS THE BABY???
IMO.

  • #275
Hoping (against all odds) that the baby is alive and somewhere safe.

I agree with you, this is going to turn out to be truly ugly :(
I am wondering if there will be other arrests in relation to her "biological" family members.
We have not had any factual information that the baby was not with RP when her remains were found; with that said I also wonder where the baby is. :(

I've spent more time reading about the Anna Kepner case (cruise ship murder) than I have on this northern Michigan saga. Both very sad cases with a strange cast of characters. I don't want to even think about what might have happened to RP, but I have my suspicions that the baby was born, taken from its mother, and likely sold by someone close to her. JMO
