Two people linked to a 22-year-old Wexford County woman who police say was killed along with her unborn child have been released from jail after posting bond, authorities said.

Kimberly Park and Richard Falor were released from the Wexford County Jail on Wednesday, an employee at the facility told The Detroit News.

I try to keep up with this discussion as best I can. The Michigan case is almost beyond belief in its savagery, and I can only read so much before I start to feel ill.

Maybe she thinks she can get her way out of this by pinning it all on BB, saying he's the one who cut RP, hurt the baby, etc. There is no way she is ever getting out of prison (fingers crossed though) but I could see someone like her thinking they could talk their way out of this by blaming it all on someone else.

I don't think she can think that straight. I think she simply wants to go home and it's not sinking in that she is charged with murdering her daughter and grandchild - it's like the crime doesn't matter at all to a meth-addled brain. "Yeah, I'm in jail but I want to go home" is how her thinking goes, imo.

“It sounded like the Wexford County prosecutor had evidence to suggest that the crime started at the house,” Dreher said. “And so, I think that continuing action will still allow the people of the state of Michigan to prosecute this case.”

Stephanie Park sounds amazing. My heart hurts for her. I have never heard a worse "birth mother" meeting story. But now this makes a bit more sense to me.

Because I viscerally just couldn't imagine doing something as horrific as hurting my daughter. But in this case, it sounds like the bio mom had no feelings at all for her daughter.

Talk About finding your birth mother horror story. Who could make this up? And these people must be crazy to not realize that they would be caught.

According to her social media posts she apparently had no feelings for both daughters. She plastered the love for her youngest son allover the internet but when she posted about her daughters it was full of hatred (“they should keep their legs closed”, “they cant care for their children”) while ironically she actually did the same.

According to RFs father, neither RP nor RF took drugs when they were expecting. That would be even more tragic.

Dreher said the seriousness of the allegations against Brad and Cortney Bartholomew would already ensure they would face the penalty of life in prison.

“With Michigan already having such a severe penalty for these, I would be surprised if the federal government also tried to get in on it as well,” Dreher said.

“And I can assure you that the penalties for murder in the first degree do not provide any sort of discretion to the sentencing judge whatsoever,” Dreher said. “If a defendant is convicted of murder in the first degree, the court must impose a life without parole sentence, meaning there's no parole board. That individual will be in prison for the rest of their natural life.”

Yes, and with no professional help to deal with the childhood trauma they suffer, it becomes generational. In some cases, even with counseling the trauma is still life altering.

I've seen this happening over and over in genealogy research... epigenetics is the term that is used.

Currently researching a family from the late 1800s in DC. There were newspaper articles about the father being abusive. A birth record mentions the mother having 12 children, with two more to come. Mama died during the 12th pregnancy. Of the six children that lived to adulthood two of them took their own lives, one died from the effects of alcoholism. So sad.

I think it's extremely difficult for those born in such families to escape the consequences of their ancestors.

Also... searching for biological parents often times does not equate to a happy ending. I've experienced that personally, helping some friends in not parent expected / adoption situations.
