Hornof pleaded no contest Feb. 10 in Muskegon County to assault with intent to murder and being a third-time habitual offender. There was no plea agreement. Hornof pleaded as charged...
Authorities said the beating began after Hornof became enraged, accusing his wife of having an affair with an acquaintance.

Hornof then put her in the back seat of their vehicle and beat her with a broken broom handle while he drove her into Muskegon County's Holton Township to confront the man with whom he believed his wife had been involved, authorities said...

he drove to the gas station, pulled her out of the store by her hair and then got in his vehicle and backed it into his wife...
