After delivering a pizza to the first of three customers locations, Papa Romanos employee and Woods resident Robert Ozark, 31, went missing.
Ozarks parents reported him missing to Woods police approximately 1 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, after speaking with his girlfriend, who was expecting him to bring her a pizza following his shift.
According to a Jan. 6 police report, Ozark may have last been seen in the Pointes when making a delivery around 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 5, in the 700 block of Washington, City of Grosse Pointe.
When the Papa Romanos franchise in the 19000 block of Mack received a phone call at 9 p.m. from a Farms customer expecting the second delivery of Ozarks run, the owner called Ozarks parents, with whom Ozark lives in the 1800 block of Allard. Ozarks parents said they hadnt heard from their son that evening.
Through a LEIN search, Woods police discovered at 5 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, Ozarks vehicle was found by Detroit 5th Precinct police and impounded. A Detroit police sergeant told Woods police the vehicle appeared to have been in an accident and was left abandoned at South Hampton and University.
Woods police checked area hospitals and police departments with no results.
