Police and family of a Detroit man missing since Dec. 1 are asking for help from the public to help find him.

Robert Rice, 39, was last seen by his child’s mother around 11 p.m. on that Friday — leaving his the home on Hartwell Street to get food.

That was the last time Rice was seen.

He’s described as 6 feet tall, with a heavy build and uses a cane to walk. He was wearing all black clothing and was driving a green 2000 Ford Explorer.

Last seen December 1????? weird that only now it's in the news. Wonder what's up on so many levels. Gosh, I don't even know what to say. How does it take that long to sound the alarm?

RUMOR: there is a go fund me acct and comments from his brother that Robert had gone into the hospital on 11/30 and passed on 12/17 from a heart attack. There was confusion when family called hospitals etc looking for him. I have not found an obit on him yet but his service was yesterday according to comments. AGAIN, putting this out there as a RUMOR only until it can be confirmed.
