Thanks for posting the mugshot.

When she was originally arrested following the boat club incident, MC spent very little time in lockup because she was bonded out quickly. She can't get out now, and I hope she finds out what it's like to be unable to drink morning, noon, and night. From the looks of her home, the county jail might actually be a cleaner, safer environment.

I hope so! MC was caught in a massive lie about having only had one glass of wine that day. She had been drinking all morning before she rammed her vehicle into the boat club.
It was all so senseless. If I recall correctly, she could have walked from her home to that boat club. She deserves to spend the rest of her life in prison. She can think back to that moment every day of her life while she wastes away in a cell.

A Monroe County woman will serve 25 to 50 years in prison after driving drunk and slamming through the side of a boat club where a children's birthday party was being held, killing two kids and injuring a dozen other people.

Marshella Chidester was found guilty in March of second-degree murder in the deaths of Zayn Phillips, 4, and his sister, Alanah Phillips, 8, two counts of operating under the influence of alcohol causing death and five counts of operating under the influence of alcohol causing serious injury.

Before she was sentenced Thursday by Monroe County Circuit Court Judge Daniel White, Chidester asked for forgiveness and told the victims' family she was “so very very sorry for the loss of your children.”...

Should have been life without parole. I know she is 67 and will be late 80's by her release date minimum with good behavior, but I wanted her to never have hope of being free. Ever.

“I’ve asked the Lord to forgive me,” Chidester said during her feeble plea for mercy.

“And I ask you to at least look into your heart and at some point, if you can possibly forgive me, I would appreciate that so much.”

Marshella Chidester, 67, was handed a 25- to 50-year prison sentence Thursday for the deadly crash that killed 8-year-old Alanah Phillips and her 4-year-old brother, Zayn.

If she really had remorse she would have pled guilty and at that time begged for forgiveness- that is not what she did. She went to trial with some sort of weak defense that she had a seizure and had only one drink. Hello- you were on candid camera lady with a glass of wine in your hand at home-- who knows how many she downed before she got in her car and used it as a weapon to mow people down. I believe she will never see the light of day again.

Yes!!! 100 percent! That interview she gave when she was bonded out was unbelievable in its lack of awareness and remorse, and full of lies. She should have said nothing, or better yet, pled guilty quickly. Only now that’s she has been convicted is she crying crocodile tears. Hope she takes advantage of AA in jail and learns to take responsibility for her actions.
