Michael was last seen being dropped off by a friend in Fayetteville, North Carolina a few blocks from his home at 6:00 pm on April 30, 2005. That day, he had told his mother he wasn't feeling well. She asked why he was going out, but he didn't answer and just said he would be coming right home.
Michael may have left of his own accord, but the circumstances surrounding his disappearance are unclear. He may have traveled to Newark, New Jersey.
