Over a two-week span, the multi-disciplinary task force proactively located vulnerable youth throughout Central Florida, including 57 children in the Tampa Bay region, 14 in Orlando, 22 in Jacksonville, and 29 in Fort Myers. The operation also resulted in recoveries in nine other states. The children ranged in age from 23 months to 17 years old, and many had experienced various levels of abuse, neglect, exploitation, or exposure to other criminal activity.

Operation Home for the Holidays was developed with a specific emphasis on rapid access to child-focused services. The investigation utilized real-time intelligence and field operations to locate missing children. Victim advocates and child welfare specialists coordinated with law enforcement partners to provide immediate resources to the rescued children.

What great news -- amazing to find those many, many children.
Hoping they can begin to get back to a normal life again -- good counseling and letting them feel that they are in safe places now.

Agree @borndem, I listened to the entire thing. Loved this in particular ...

So, I'll conclude before turning it over by
3:21
saying you should know if you come into Florida and you want to lay a finger on our kids, if you want to prey
3:28
upon them, if you want to groom them, if you want to abuse them,
3:33
everybody up here is coming for you with everything we've got. We are going to lock you up for as long as possible and
3:40
we will indeed seek the death penalty. So, child
3:45
predators, stay out of Florida. you are not welcome here. If you come here, we
3:50
will hold you accountable to the fullest extent of the law.

Also the description of the services and care each one of the children will receive, not just in the short term. But into perpetuity if neccessary. That's so critical to each child's success!! I hope and pray what they said is exactly the reality each child will experience.

Seriously, this happens entirely too much in FL. It’s at least annually I swear. JMO

It peaks around highly publicized events. These traffickers are snatching them for the sick pleasure of grown @$$ men who frequent sporting events, huge concerts, upscale resorts, famous people, politicians, etc. Hence, the other 9 states involved. These creeps are wealthy, well connected and you would never suspect a thing. JMO

At least six arrests were made as part of the investigation, Uthmeier added.
In addition to Florida, the operations also helped to rescue children in nine other states.
