So I recently found out from a friend of mine that someone we know has a missing sister from Minnesota, possibly Plummer, MN. Anyway, I haven't spoken to the gentleman about it because I'm sure I'll get the "It's none of your business." response. So the hard part of trying to find information about this is that I don't know the girls name, age of disappearance, date of disappearance, "correct" city, DOB, etc. All I know is the acquaintance/friends name, info, etc. I have tried a lot of googling, using these resources: Assistance for Families of the Missing , etc. I'd really like to look into this but I just have nothing to start with. Any suggestions???

I think you should talk to this man. It wouldn't hurt to try imo.

As you at least have her surname if she is the sister of someone you know, with familysearch.com you can find places of residence etc, and with ancestry.com you can maybe find her in school books or old newspapers if this was ever reported.
check the doenetwork to see if she is listed there it contains a lot of cold cases and you can filter by State.

It's weird, his last name is Carlson. And he is/was from the Plummer, MN area. I was told she disappeared in the 60s-70s but there is no one with that name missing. He comes from a very religious stable family too so the last name is the same. Hmmmm????

Project Cold Case in Minnesota maintains records, and you can search by surnames but I believe they only go back to 1980. I've included the link though, I did search using the surname Carlson and found zero records though there were over 3000 missing females from Minnesota in the system. Project Cold Case Database

I think I can post here part of what I found and communicated to @NarcWahlberg . This has been a horrific crime against a 22 yrs old beautiful woman back in 1987.

I'd actually like to try harder looking into this. I've been doing some of my own online detective work but being new to this I keep hitting road blocks. I'm starting to think that Donald Blom should/should have been a person of interest. He was out of prison at that time.
