Search continues for man missing for almost 2 months

The Red Lake Police Department is continuing to search for a 26-year old man who has been missing for almost two months now.

Dillon James Sayers, 26, was last seen on October 23rd when police say, his family dropped him off at a residence at the Red Lake Reservation. Sayers is 5’9” and weighs about 160 pounds. He was last seen in black and grey ECHO sweat pants and a red hooded sweatshirt.

Oh my, I think it’s something recent. Of course that’s only my speculation, but from the wording it seems like it was still pretty unsisturbed and was obvious what happened, so much so that they already arrested someone before even officially identifying the body?

Yeah, it sounds like it is someone from the cities and people from up there that were involved in something. Doesn't sound like Dillon.

Officials seek public's help to locate missing Red Lake man

Dillon James Sayers, 26, has not been seen since Oct. 23. He was then reported missing Oct. 30. Authorities are not sure why he may have disappeared. The Minnesota Department of Corrections has listed Sayers as a fugitive since Oct. 31.

Sayers is wanted by the DOC in connection to charges of failure to register as a predatory offender and third-degree criminal sexual conduct.

The body of a missing 26-year-old Red Lake man was discovered last week, officials confirmed Wednesday...According to a press release, his body was located Thursday, April 25, after authorities received information regarding “two areas of interest east of Red Lake.” A search of those areas Wednesday, April 24, included two cadaver dogs from a Missouri search and rescue organization. The remains were located in one of those areas, the release said.

Authorities are still investigating the case, including the cause of death. “People directly responsible for Sayers’ death and any others who may have assisted and/or concealed information will be considered equally responsible and charged accordingly,” the press release said.

Information led to a search of two areas of interest, carried out Apr. 24 by Red Lake police, FBI Headwaters Safe Trails Task Force, Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, and two cadaver dogs from a Missouri search and rescue group.

Sayers' body was discovered in one of the areas of interest. An FBI Evidence Response Team exhumed the remains and sent them to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office.

There were some serious charges against Sayers. I wonder if this was a crime of retribution.
