A Duluth man convicted of using belts and cords to physically abuse five children has been sentenced to seven months in jail.
Twenty-8-year-old Jason L. Wiggins pleaded guilty in April to two felony counts of malicious punishment of a child resulting in substantial bodily harm. As part of a plea agreement, three similar charges were dismissed.
Wiggins was accused of abusing five kids between ages 4 and 13. Prosecutors say some children had permanent scars on their legs. The 13-year-old said she was beaten about 10 times per month.
