Joan Bieter, age 22
Missing since 16 July 1968

Any chance that an unidentified female, labled #UP10945 could be Joan? Described with ruddish brown hair, blue eyes, 5.5, aged 16-25.
Found in Oakland October 2, 1969, in a recognizable state, so time of death was probably recent. That said, there are very few details, such as cause of death. She only has 1 exclusion, Niki Britten.

This is one of the (sadly few) MP cases where I believe she may be alive. Or at least took off and was alive under another existence with her death not related to her disappearance. My guess would be the argument was either boyfriend or pregnancy related. As for her "possibly brown" eyes, I take that to mean poor admin of the paperwork such as a checkbox marked B. Or a BX where the illegible X was an "r" or "l." If there was a "good riddance" vibe from her family (or from the father who squashed any talk of her w/in the family) it's entirely possible they never saw the report. Different times then.

Is it possible this newspaper clipping matches the circumstances of UP10945? Not much on the NamUS listing to go off but the clothing somewhat matches, age, timeline, location.
