Rogers police search for missing 30-year-old

Police are searching for 30-year-old Maurice Jackson.

"It’s puzzling to me because this isn’t a location I would see him normally coming to at all," said Jackson's mother, Benita Jackson-Marabel.

She said Jackson lives in Minneapolis, some 25 miles away. She also said he was with his girlfriend that night and Benita received a text from her saying their vehicle got stuck and the two got separated.

The only Minnesota specific county records for a Maurice Jackson age 30 are as follows but without a middle name in the missing persons information I can't be certain it's the same individual. However, there is at least one active warrant for this M. Jackson's arrest and his bond was forfeited in mid February. I'm not listing the charges, as I'm not certain it's the same individual. Rogers Police Department says it was told by the Wright County Sheriff's Office that a body was found in St. Michael on the morning of May 27. The body has since been identified by the Midwest Medical Examiner's Office as that of Maurice Jackson, 30.

No information has been released regarding Jackson's cause and manner of death as of Monday afternoon. Further investigation is being undertaken by the Wright County Sheriff's Office.
