Michael Grossoehme, 41, was last seen at the festival at 3:30 p.m. He was wearing a white and black camouflage shirt, brown leather arm/costume braces, black pants and black shoes. He has hearing aids and was possibly wearing glasses. He was also carrying a red cell phone.

Authorities say Grossoehme is described as very friendly and likes to shake hands, introduce himself and give people hugs.

There was a sighting of Michael today:

UPDATE: Missing vulnerable adult seen in downtown Minneapolis

Updated: September 30, 2019 07:43 PM

UPDATE:

Authorities say a vulnerable adult who was reported missing over the weekend was seen exiting public transportation in downtown Minneapolis Monday morning.

The Scott County Sheriff's Office said it is believed 41-year-old Michael David Bear Grossoehme is in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area.

ETA: I just checked the Scott County Sheriff's Office post (linked by @PayrollNerd above) and they have added this sighting to the post.

From downtown Minneapolis you have countless routes to any of the inner suburbs and is so close to St. Paul (and then those suburbs) that this could be a terribly difficult search! Our metro transit is pretty extensive, I hope he’s able to stop and ask someone for help and hope no one tries to take advantage of him!

The Ren Fest FB page has an interesting comment about a possible sighting. Plus the usual Judgy McJudgerson comments from people who are second-guessing the caregivers for ever letting him out of their sight. Sigh...
This poor fella was with his elderly father both enjoying themselves I'm sure. It was crowded, they got separated. Maybe the judgemental folks shouldn't have been walking between them or cutting them off so they could have stayed closer together. People are so rude - I've had to use a cane, wheelchair and electric scooter at times due to my illness and it frustrates my kids when people do this to us.

Thank you Lord he was found!! I was thinking, many of the people trashing his caregiver are just upset that this poor man got lost and was possibly hurt. That doesn't make it right, but I think the "trolls" heart is in the right place - love for Michael.

I wish. It's concern trolling, mainly to reassure themselves that "it will never happen to me; I'm too smart and too superior to make that mistake".
