Minneapolis Police Ask for Public’s Help In Locating Missing Child

October 24, 2019 (MINNEAPOLIS) – After an extensive search of possible locations and known contacts, as well as attempts to locate family members, the Minneapolis Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a 5-year old girl who was forcefully taken from her custodial home on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at 4:48pm in the 3100 block of Cedar Avenue South. The child was with her custodial father when the non-custodial mother, SERENITY JOY JONES, age 28 and an unknown male forced entry into the apartment, grabbed the child and fled in an unknown vehicle.

Naila, age 5, has brown eyes, black hair, and was last seen wearing blue shorts and a purple t-shirt. Serenity, 28 years old, is 5’ 5”, 166 lbs and has brown eyes.

After additional information was received during the investigation, the Minneapolis Police Department is concerned for Naila’s welfare. Anyone with information about this case and the location of Naila and Serenity is asked to call 911.
