Strange photo for Garcia, especially since she went missing in the age of social media.

I think this skulls was probably found long before 2013, the date found is unknown it just says 2013 because that's the year they were uploaded. It's probably a very old skull.

Well, that's a whole lot of nothing to go on.

Except

* Died before 2013
* Child, preadolescent, probably under twelve, probably based on growth plates and/or teeth
* Female, which means they have pelvis or DNA, but because she's preadolescent, probably DNA
* Listed as possibly Caucasian (NamUs), which suggests they have a skull for morphology or DNA

How many young maybe white girls missing in Minnesota? We don't have an estimate of date of death, so who knows how long she was out there.

Hey, there's actually two very similar listings on the same date. One is like you say wht/fem but their age is unknown. The other their race or sex isn't even known but they're preadolescent.

Duplication? Two finds of remains that are actually the one victim, just deposited in two places? Or do we have two victims?

If we have two victims by the same killer, serial, or child killer of a pair, like the D'Alton boys, that's significant. We'd be looking for two kids missing around the same time or location. Or a pair of children going missing at exactly the same time. The latter tends to make headlines, especially, unfortunately, if the victims are white.

They weren't found on the same day I dont believe. the date found is the day they were uploaded, the descriptions both say date found and location is completely unknown. I guess they were just found in storage. These are the two listings both state circumstances unknown and date found is unknown;

I agree, @cheemsg . My opinion is also that those are two different UIDs found in the same county in storage. Perhaps there were insufficient records kept and someone tried to do what they could by putting them both into NamUs with what little information they still had.

How sad they don't have more information about either UID.

Genetic genealogy could do a good job with this case. That's why I tagged Othram, bc they ID'd a skull found in storage where nobody knew where it was originally from (Michael West). They could do that for this.

With so little info, DNA is definitely the best bet, the only, probably.

I dislike the idea of Does out in the elements, in the desert or the ocean or in shallow graves, but somehow the idea of them boxes up on a shelf gathering dust feels wrong in a whole different way. Shoved in an old drawer or a closet with the old forms, obsolete printers, and office supplies. It's probably nothing like that in reality, but that's what I always picture. Shoved to the back and forgotten about. It's somehow the saddest thing I can think of, because we think of these people as being found, and then they're identified and go home, or they're buried and LE do what they can. But just being boxed up and forgotten about until they clean out that old storage room... especially when it's kids. It's just heartbreaking to think about.

I wish they knew at least which decade this child was found and something about the circumstances.

Missing children in MN makes me think of the three Klein brothers, but they went missing in Minneapolis in 1951.
