@azure Does Aleksey have ties to Castlewood? I'm confused by the reference to him missing from Des Peres but being seen on a neighbor's ring camera in Ballwin (for those non-locals, Shadownoak Drive is in the suburban city of Ballwin).
I'm very familiar with the area as I've lived out in this area for close to 60 years.

Yes I believe I found his FB page. His name is in Ukrainian script. His last post was in 2021...in a relationship.

Absolutely. I don't think I have any verified knowledge that would be helpful, but phd in molecular biology, sweetheart, and struggling are all correct.
I've always known him to live in the city of St. Louis as noted by @GraceG , but we've fallen out of touch over the past few years.
I find his car's proximity to Castlewood very worrisome in light of the concerning comments he's said to have made to family. The park is wooded and hilly (and beautiful). I fear he has harmed himself and no one has come across him yet. Hoping against all odds that he's out wandering around in confusion, but I know as the days pass that grows less likely.

From what I saw on his FB page, he does love nature. Hopefully he is trying to find some solace and regrouping in nature.

I appreciate you taking the time to continue to post information about his disappearance.
In short, we grew up near Castlewood and he has remained a nature enthusiast, so it's no surprise he would go there in a moment of deep despair.
It's been a week since he turned off his phone and has been off grid. There has been no further contact to his wife, friends, or family members.
Last night some post were made on the Marquette High School FB page by alumni that live near Castlewood, mentioning that crime scene vans were on location in the park. Also, it has been mentioned that several of his Missing Persons post have been taken down.
That paints a very grim picture but we remain hopeful. Now we wait with bated breath for any news.
