Authorities continue to investigate the reported disappearance of a woman from Bethany.

According to the Missouri Missing and Unsolved Facebook page, 30-year-old Allison Derwinis has been missed since 5 pm Wednesday, February 8, 2023.

A 911 call was received from her phone at approximately 2 am Thursday. Information indicates the call originated from rural Gilman City but there was no communication on the line during the 911 call.

Authorities said Derwini’s motor vehicle was found roadside near where the 911 call originated. A search of the area failed to locate the woman.

Allison Derwinis is described as five feet one-inch tall, 105 pounds, and has brown hair, and green eyes. Her nose is pierced on the right side and has a hoop. The description also listed tattoos on her left hip and right arm.

Anyone with information on the disappearance of Allison Derwinis is asked to contact the Bethany Police Department or the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department at 660-425-3199. The Missouri State Highway Patrol can be contacted toll-free at 866 362 6422.

Allison had some legal troubles in March 2021. Is she on parole?

Bethany to Gilman City is about 17 miles. Gilman City is very rural, its population is about 330 people according to Wikipedia. Why would Allison go there at 2 AM? I hope that she is safe.

If drugs are indeed involved, that would be the perfect sort of place to do a “bigger” deal/handoff etc…rural, no police force…only stating this based on the prior arrest record. If she is/was still involved in drugs, poor thing, then she’s already at much higher risk.

Do we know who saw her last? Who she lives with? Any further details?

Also, I believe the photos supplied in the first post may be quite old - senior photos maybe? Certainly looks nothing like her mug shot. Drugs are a helluva thing.

Hoping she’s okay, but this doesn’t sound good. I know at least in CA, cartels and gangs are known for taking over more rural areas. Do we know anything about the drug trade/cartel etc out that way?

An area with low population density.

About a half-hour drive from Bethany to Gilman City:

Any path between the 2 towns corsses Interstate 35, connecting Kansas City & Des Moines. Connecting the Texas coast to northern Minnesota, actually, but if she was grabbed or hitched a ride she could be very far away.

I live in the area and know many of the people, it is being said that her body was found.

Thirty-one-year-old Allison Derwinis, of Bethany, has been located in rural Harrison County.

Deputies with the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office located the body of Derwinis near 240th Avenue and MO 146 in rural Gilman City, Missouri on Tuesday using cadaver canines from MOSAR.

Allison Derwinis was last seen at Bethany on Wednesday, February 8. A 911 call was received from her phone around 2 am Thursday, February 9. Her vehicle was reportedly found along a road near Gilman City where the 911 call originated.

The investigation into the death is ongoing, the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office is being assisted by the Buchanan County Sheriff’s Detective Squad, the FBI, the DEA, and the Bethany Police Department.

Oh boy, the FBI, DEA is already involved. I’m not sure what to make of this. I’m not hearing cries for justice on her FB page…what happened here? I hope there will be more information soon…

Anyone know how close her body was found to her car?

Here is her MO Dept of Corrections prisoner status. Looks like the 2021 7 year sentence mentioned in the news link in this thread was changed to parole and probation. MODOC Offender Search
I tried to look at MODOC but it says offender not found. Wonder why? Maybe they do maintenance of the site early mornings? Do you have Doc ID's?
