WILLOW BROOK, Mo. | Northwest Missouri authorities are investigating after human remains were found on a farm over the weekend.

With video... says autopsy results are expected in the next 2 to 3 weeks.

I hope they're able to identify these remains and it brings closure and/or justice to another case!

impossible to provide any assistance when LE gives out NO info on the body.

they say it was there "quite some time". if the farmer found remains at harvest time, an we infer they were not there at planting time?

ST. JOSEPH, MO (AP) --

A body found in a northwest Missouri bean field has been identified as that of a missing St. Joseph man.

The Buchanan County sheriff says Michael Underwood, 50, appears to have died of natural causes, although a forensic reports pending. A farmer discovered the remains last weekend near the rural town of Willow Brook.

Sheriff Mike Strong says Underwood lived in the area as a child.

Underwood was last seen on Sept. 1. He was reported missing to the St. Joseph Police Department on Sept. 9.
