Talk about ruining your life. A divorce would have been a much better way out of this situation. Sad situation all around.

A 55-year-old Hood County, TX, woman was sentenced Friday in the shooting death of Gladstone, MO, psychiatrist, Irina A. Puscariu, M.D., 46.

Prosecuting Attorney Daniel White said that Shannon Griffin... was sentenced to 20 years for second-degree murder and 20 years for armed criminal action...

Puscariu's elderly mother, who witnessed the shooting, has since died, said White. Prior to her death, however, she provided a detailed deposition and it would have been that deposition used at trial had not Shannon Griffin pleaded guilty Nov. 21.
