Circumstances of Disappearance:
Cerney was last seen at approximately 8:50 a.m. on June 9, 2000 in Rolla, MO. He has never been heard from again. An extensive search of the area produced no evidence as to his whereabouts. There were several unconfirmed sightings of Cerney in Springfield, MO but authorities were unable to verify that he was in the area. Cerney required daily medication for Parkinson's disease and he only had a two-day supply on him at the time he went missing. Few details are available regarding his disappearance.

This is one of those cases in which we will never know what really happened, but I always have the impression that either he was mugged or kidnapped, perhaps someone threw him off his bike for a game, he fell badly and died and they did not know what to do with the body or the last one and I think that It is most probable that at some point on his bicycle journey he went through a portal to another dimension and from there he never leaves..

<<Cerney was last seen at approximately 9:30 a.m. on June 9, 2000 in Rolla, Missouri. He left his residence in the 10000 block of County Road 8150 on his bicycle, telling his wife he was going to town to take care of some business in town, and never returned. He has never been heard from again.

Cerney took his ten-speed bicycle, a small gray bag and two days' worth of medication. An extensive search of the area produced no evidence as to his whereabouts.

Cerney enjoys trading cards and bicycling. There were several unconfirmed sightings of him in Springfield, Missouri shortly after he was reported missing. Authorities have been unable to verify that he was in that area, and he was declared legally dead in 2006. His case remains unsolved.>>
