My first time posting - hopefully it's correct
Found this case today - Not much detail, but so sad. Her son would be 44.

Thanks for posting this, such a tragic death.

In the link above, the new sheriff mentions he recently discovered some evidence in the case file - blood covered gravel.
Has he sent the gravel off for analysis? DNA analysis?

His theory sounds very good - that Geneva's death was related to her recently giving birth to someone's child. Also a good theory that she was targeted by someone at the Wolf Creek party that night, specifically more than one person.

Did she identify the father of her son to anyone? Has her son taken a DNA test through an online genealogy web site? It might be helpful, though it might be emotionally difficult for him.

Poplar Bluff is a good sized city, but it's always struck me as the kind of place where people know what others are up to. Geneva kept the identity of the father secret and moved into her own apartment. Was she still seeing the father of the baby? Had she been in contact with him? Her secrecy, MOO, might indicate the father was married or a prominent person in the community who wanted the pregnancy to remain secret.

Did Geneva have a job outside the home prior to her pregnancy? She had her own car, so it seems likely.

Here's a FB page devoted to finding her killer/s

The Facebook page linked above states she went to the party at Wolf Creek, MO that night, but that she went back and forth from the party to the local Burger Chef and back again, before leaving for home. LE and family do know of the father of Geneva's child. It sounds like LE could be getting close to solving Geneva's murder. More information at this post:

Posted 8/2/2019 But I don’t see any follow up on it. Maybe it’s still in the testing pipeline and results are in progress.

Very excited to announcement some news we have been asking for the last few months! As we all know, DNA testing and now genealogy testing has come a long way in the past several years. Lots of items - including Geneva's blood covered clothing, her nail clippings, blood stained rocks and leaves and a couple other things we are not at liberty to announce have been sent for extensive testing. This is great news and hopefully confirmation will be made to who we think the suspects are. Know something - this may very well be the time to tell. The clock is starting to tick! #justiceforGeneva
