Found Deceased MO - Guy Stanley, 88, has dementia, Higginsville, Lafayette Co., 28 Feb 2022

The Higginsville Police Department is attempting to locate Guy Stanley, 88 year old white male, gray hair, hazel eyes, 5’8” 108 lbs. Guy has dementia and was last seen at 11:30pm on 2-28-22. Subject may possibly be driving a 2002 Dodge Durango with license # RE5E0Z. The vehicle has a scooter rack mounted on the back of it. If located please contact local law enforcement! #SilverAlert

Police say Stanley left a voice message to his niece at about 4 p.m. on Monday. When someone arrived at his residence to check on him at 11:30 p.m., his 2002 silver Dodge Durango was not in the driveway.

Sadly it seems he was found deceased due to a car accident
HIGGINSVILLE MAN INVOLVED IN FATAL CRASH
An 89-year-old Higginsville man was killed in a vehicle crash in Daviess County on Saturday, March 19.

A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred when Guy Stanley drove off the side of the road, while traveling northbound on Missouri Highway 13. Stanley’s vehicle then traveled through an intersection at Missouri State Highway 6 and drove down a steep embankment and collided with trees.

Stanley was pronounced deceased at the scene by Daviess County Coroner Jason Smith at 8:02 p.m.

Per a KMMO story published on March 1, Stanley was reported missing by the Higginsville Police Department on February 28.
