Springfield Police Department is investigating a report of a missing and endangered person and is asking for the publics assistance.
Harold E. Amos, 79, walked out of Mercy Hospital at approximately 1:30 Thursday morning after recently having a surgery. Police were later notified that he was missing, and his emergency contact could not be reached.
Amos has a pacemaker and needs medication. He is 5' 7" with brown eyes and brown hair and weighs 140 pounds. Amos was last seen wearing glasses, a black stocking cap, a tan jacket, light-colored sweatpants and had a bandage on his neck. He may have a scar.
Amos lives in Rogers, Arkansas. Police say they picked up a cell phone ping in that area around 5:15 a.m. Thursday. Investigators don't know if he had his phone with him at the hospital.
