Missing Person – 77-year-old Liberal, MO man

A 77-year-old Liberal, MO man, John Shomin, was last seen around 8 a.m. Feb 17, 2020. When Linda Shomin (wife) returned home around 12 p.m., John was not home and has not returned home. He was last wearing coveralls, white hat with a black front, driving a 2015, Navy Blue Ford pickup.

John has had recent episodes with dementia and could be headed to Girard, Ks. John is typically in bed around 7 p.m., and this is out of his character. At this time, we do not have a picture of the truck. If you have any information regarding John Shomin or his whereabouts, contact the Barton County Sheriff's Office at 417-682-5541.

UPDATE:
11:00pm Monday — The Barton County Sheriff’s Office says 77-year-old John Shomin was spotted Monday at a store in Camden County.

Authorities say he was in the Macks Creeks area.

Store camera captured Shomin shortly before 5:30pm on Monday.

If you have family or friends in the Camden County area LE are asking for this to be shared in that area, and also areas even along 54 hwy.

ENDANGERED SILVER ADVISORY: Deputies search for man missing from Barton County, Mo.

Deputies say Shomin drives a dark blue 2015 Ford F150 with Missouri license plates 7PAK60. He was last seen westbound on U.S. 54 from Macks Creek around 5:30 p.m.
