Possible matches based on age, race, height, and weight:
  • NamUs MP13630, Jack Edward West, missing 2/16/1975 from Phoenix, AZ
  • NamUs MP38318, Robert Clifton Newell, missing 12/24/1974 from Washington, DC - Given the gap between the DOC and the date the body was found, I don't think this is a strong match.
  • NamUs MP9701, Nicholas James Maschuci, missing 9/18/74, from Kearny, NJ - Again, big gap between DOC and date the body was found. I also think this is less likely to be a match because Mr. Maschuci seems to have been had good grooming, so I think it's unlikely he would have had poorly kept teeth.
I'm assuming this UID person probably doesn't have DNA on file, but maybe there are dentals or x-rays?

Thanks! I haven't submitted anybody for this one. I just didn't feel like there was anything that made any of the MP's stand out enough to go to that length, but if you feel like Jack might be a match, go for it!

I wonder if this is the same case? MO - MO - Pettis County, Decomposed Male in Missouri River, Apr'76 The media articles linked within don't shed any additional light on whether it is, though they said missing person Mr Goldberg, initially thought to be this UID, was (wrongly) identified as this man, based on the basis of 'a scar, a bent finger and missing teeth'.
