Circumstances of Disappearance
Ms. Roberts brother reported her missing stating it was unusual for her to be gone without letting anyone know. He last saw her on 12/23/94 around 7pm. He stated she appeared very depressed. She had not talked about taking her own life during the visit but had in prior visits. Ms. Roberts was under criminal investigation at the time of her disappearance.

I found a woman named Linda (Tittle) Roberts in the Truman High School years book from 1970. Tittle was the woman’s maiden name. She attended high school from the 1966 at age 14 to 1970 at age 18 which is consistent with Linda’s DOB and age. The hair color also seems to match up!

Here is a news article from 2005. It’s about vehicles that were found in the river and it mentioned Linda as possibly being in the river. I’m guessing it’s presumed that she drove into the river.

Details of Disappearance
Roberts was last seen in Marshall, Missouri at 7:00 p.m. on December 23, 1994. She has never been heard from again. It's uncharacteristic of her to leave without warning. She was under criminal investigation at the time of her disappearance, and her brother said she seemed very depressed.

Roberts's vehicle, a red two-door 1989 Oldsmobile Ciera or Cutlass with a gray interior with no vinyl and the Missouri license plate number PKS-470, has never been recovered. In 2005, authorities searched the Missouri River at the Miami River access point and found a vehicle, but it wasn't her car. Her case remains unsolved.

Statewide, there are 51 cases involving Linda L. Roberts, I did not check for birthdates on all of them -- but the divorce states 1952, as does the original post. Not much for cases filed in 1994 or 1993.

It's possible that charges are purged after a certain amount of time, or not moved into newer computer systems?

Linda, 42, was last seen in Marshall, Missouri around 7 p.m. on December 23rd, 1994. Her 2 door red Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera with a gray interior, no vinyl and Missouri tags PKS-470 is also missing.
She was reported missing by her brother who stated it was unusual for his sister to be gone without telling anyone. He said Linda seemed depressed. In prior visits, she had spoken of taking her own life. She was under criminal investigation at the time of her disappearance, but it's not clear why.
She may have been spotted driving south from her home.
Linda was divorced from her husband in 1986. In the next few years, her grandfather and her father passed away.

== Search Efforts ==

In 2005, authorities searched the Missouri River at the Miami River access point and found an unrelated vehicle.

In 2022, several boat ramps on the Missouri River were searched with sonar by Adam Brown and Jeremy Sides. Several unrelated cars were found, unconfirmed if removed. Amary Lake (State School Lake) was also searched.

In 2024, another sonar search group, Echo Divers, began searching for her. A 1970s Chrysler Imperial, stolen in 1982, was found in the pond at Indian Foothills Park and later removed. Wally's Lake, a pond on Kenny Dr, a small pond a few houses east of hers, and a pond just north of her home were searched with sonar.
That same year, a man went missing with his vehicle in Waverly, Missouri. The Beneath The Surface Search And Recovery Dive Team, who were made aware of Linda's case, scanned a boat ramp in that area and located several other vehicles. A plan has to be made to remove them but some may be too deteriorated.
In 2025, Slater Lake was searched.
