Couple charged in killing of Auxvasse father, daughter

Ryan Coari, 28, of 925 Garfield Ave. in Mexico is charged with two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of armed criminal action and second-degree arson. His wife, 27-year-old Jacie Coari, is charged with first-degree robbery and two counts of second-degree murder.

Bond for Ryan Coari has not been set. Jacie Coari is being held with bond set at $300,000.

The Coaris were arrested in Michigan on a warrant for a stolen U-Haul vehicle, and they still are there, according to a Callaway County sheriff’s news release.

Fire crews arrived at 1242 County Road 1027 just before 5 a.m. Sept. 2 to find the Michael Wieberg’s home engulfed in flames. After the blaze was extinguished, crews discovered the body of Michael Wieberg, 56, and his daughter, Amanda Wieberg, 33.

Ryan Coari was sentenced to two life sentences for the murders. He also pleaded guilty to two counts of armed criminal action, for which he was sentenced to 30 years each, and one count of arson, for which he was given seven years.

Jacie Coari was sentenced to 10 years in prison for each charge. The sentences will run concurrently, and she has to serve at least 85 percent of the sentence before she is eligible for parole.
