Based on the original article, I thought she was pulled into the suspect's vehicle and I thought, surely, her relatives who were pursuing got a license plate number. But, according to this updated article, she was in the driver's seat of her vehicle and someone in the passenger seat was forcing her to drive.

Relatives witnessed the incident and said Hampton was in the driver’s seat of her car with a person in the passenger seat. They followed the vehicle into St. Louis City but stopped after someone fired shots at their car.

Hampton was forced to drive from Clayton to St. Louis, where she was killed and her body abandoned on Greer.

Read the go fund me page that the family wrote. It gives more insight to what happened. I don’t think we can post it on here but I’ll post another in-depth article from local St. Louis news.

Well, I can’t post the article on the front page of the St. Louis Post Dispatch because I don’t have an online subscription. It’s titled “A Search For Answers” by Kim Bell. Mods, can I post a screen shot of the physical article?

I think you can post screen shots of the physical article. I've seen others do it.

not too much confirmed yet but relieved to see an arrest already. That 🤬🤬🤬 is a tough read for a few reasons, such a tragedy, so sad for those who know and love her. May they get the justice this crime calls for.

This article includes a photo of the person arrested (43-year-old Anjuan Mosby). Arrest, charges issued in death of Clayton woman kidnapped, found dead in St. Louis

From the article: "...Police said Hampton was kidnapped around 7 a.m. on Wednesday from her home on Whitburn Drive in Clayton. Police said Hampton was forced to drive away in her car from her home.

Court documents said that Hampton’s sister had arrived at her home to see Hampton in her car with Mosby. Hampton’s sister, along with her two children, tried following her as she drove off. Police said Mosby shot at Hampton’s sister’s car and shattered her driver-side window in the process."

so sounds as if she was car jacked/abducted in her own vehicle, eventually moved into a yellow truck driven by Mosby's accomplice that was following behind and then forced to various bank locations to withdraw funds for her abductors.

Investigators say there was a driver in a yellow truck that followed behind both Hampton’s vehicle and her sister’s vehicle. Court documents allege Suarez drove the yellow truck shortly before Hampton was kidnapped, while Mosby was the passenger inside Hampton’s vehicle for a brief time.

After that, according to court documents, Hampton was forced into the yellow truck and brought to three different banks. She was reportedly in the back seat of the yellow truck during three attempted transactions to withdraw money from her bank accounts.

How terrified she must have been :(

It appears that MH lived in an apartment building as all the homes on Whitburn Dr are apartment buildings. It is not a bad area (source: I've lived in St. Louis my entire life) but is close to two interstate highways (I-64 and I-170) and near the St. Louis Galleria mall.

I find this statement in the above news articles interesting.

Police say, according to a preliminary investigation, it’s believed Mosby and Hampton were known to each other. It’s not yet fully clear if Suarez was also known to Hampton.

Mosby was dating and living with Michelle’s twin sister, the same one who witnessed the abduction. The family’s FB posts on the abduction are now gone. I’m wondering if people are suspicious about others involved. A second arrest was made and the guy who initially was driving the truck is behind bars. I’ll post the article.

Wow, it was her twin sister’s boyfriend that abducted and killed her? Sort of hinky that the sister came to her house at the exact moment she was abducted? Did the sister suspect something was going to go down?

Wow, this is insane. Twin sister's boyfriend did this?

ETA and he shot at his girlfriend (the twin sister) that was following them? None of this makes sense.

Hi, another St. Louisan here!
The thing I am curious about is the amounts they were getting her to withdraw from her bank accounts. How did they know that she had so much liquid cash available to withdraw? They tried for $10,000, and wound up getting $3,000 from two different banks. They had to know ahead of time that she had that kind of money available. The article said she was holding onto a $40,000 settlement for her brother. Who knew about that?

Welcome Callie Bear!
Yes, IMO, it seems that he knew about the settlement. What if her sister hadn't shown up at that time?
