PRESS RELEASE

On Saturday, February 11, 2023, at approximately 10:02AM, the Mexico Public Safety Department was contacted by a person who was concerned about her cousin.

Randy Lee Kniepfel, age 64, did not arrive to work at 5:30AM when scheduled. His employer eventually called his cousin who went to his apartment in the 2700 block of S Clark St and found he was not home.

An area resident believes they saw him speaking to an unknown black male and black female near a dark SUV in a nearby shopping center around 5:30PM on Friday, February 10th.

It is believed that Kniepfel would be wearing a tan Carhart jacket, a red baseball cap, and gray Puma tennis shoes.

Update:
A Silver Alert has been issued. The area has been searched on foot, with a dog, and by aerial drone. Anyone with information is asked to call Mexico Public Safety immediately. We have no other information on Mr Kniepfel as this time
