MO - Springfield, Feb. 26, 1995: Cheryl, Tyler, and Jennifer Feeney Murdered: Jon Feeney acquitted

My name is Jeff and I am a crime researcher for an upcoming podcast called Cold Case Central. However, for the past year I have been working with Anne Roderique-Jones on the podcast you posted. We discovered new, explosive information about the Feeney case that has never been made public before. The podcast is definitely worth a listen.

The podcast series includes interviews with key players in the Feeney case such as law enforcement, local journalists, lawyers, the judge, family, friends, coworkers, and students.

You can hear the first two episodes here (or wherever you get your podcasts):

Episode 8 is currently in revision, but as of now, I am referenced in the middle of episode 8 and in the closing credits of that episode.

On a side note, the first season of Cold Case Central will cover an unbelievably unsolved murder case and will be out early next year if anyone is interested (follow Cold Case Central on Facebook for updates).

@coldcasecentral , is there a thread here for the other case you mention?

Some of us like to have background first.

BTW -- Mr. Laughing was involved in the science teacher's conference that Feeney's car left in the night.

There is not a thread on here currently about the case Cold Case Central is covering, but we will start one as soon as interviews with the key players are complete.

Did you cross paths with Jon at Tan-Tar-A (I also attended a conference there back in the day)?

Does anyone think this might be related in some way to the murder of that woman, her daughter, and the daughter's friend on HS graduation night around the same time? I'm not going to listen to all those podcasts. (Sorry.)

I don't believe there is any connection to the Springfield Three case.

Also, if any one is curious about the Feeney podcast, an episode a week is being dropped and they are about 20 minutes long.

Okay, when I saw that the little boy had hepatitis B but his parents didn't, and other evidence of prior sexual abuse, that's when I figured the father was most likely innocent, and I also realized I've heard about the story a few times before. He may not have been a saint, but I personally don't think he did it. If anyone here has other information, feel free to PM me.

All I can say at this point (because all the episodes aren't released yet) is that there is bombshell information in the podcast that will likely change some minds. After the final episode airs (episode 8), I will probably post additional information here that was cut in editing that will help people further make up their minds.

Can you tell us the reason Feeney gave for leaving the resort grounds the night of the murders? I remember the video of the car in the resort driveway, but don't remember how this was explained by the defense.

I know it's most likely the case, but they've never been found and there is nothing to absolutely say they are dead. Although, the passage of time says that's most likely.

He went out to dinner with a fellow teacher, returned to the resort, but then left again to go to the Lake of the Ozarks Police station to pay a speeding ticket. He said that he returned to the resort after leaving the Police station and slept at the resort all night.
