His clothing makes it sound like he’s on the younger end of the age range, particularly the checkered Vans. They’re especially popular amongst Gen X and Millennials and have been for as long as I can remember. Most Gen Xers and Millennials I know have owned AT LEAST one pair of Vans in their lives (or knew someone who did), myself included. The checkered design is arguably the most popular. I’d venture to guess he may even be in his late 30’s.
