Family concerned for safety of missing man last seen walking his dog​

According to the Kansas City Police Department, 65-year-old Terry Day was last seen walking his brown and white mix-breed dog on Aug. 1 around 7 p.m. He was outside his home, which is in the area of East 94th Street and Pleasant Avenue in south Kansas City, across State Route 350 from Unity Village.

It is unknown what Day was wearing at the time of his disappearance, but he is 5′6 and 150 pounds with brown hair and green eyes.

This is concerning. It's been dangerously hot in KC. At 7pm Thursday, the heat advisory was just ending, but it's still been in the 90s with high humidity since. I wonder if the dog has been found.

Sadly, his body has been found in a wooded area. Cause of death to be determined by medical examiner. Kansas City man’s body found days after he disappeared walking dog

KCPD did confirm that at some point, Day’s dog was found safe and reunited with family.
