Details of Disappearance
Price was last seen at approximately 8:00 p.m. on February 4, 2004, after his brother dropped him off at his condominium in the vicinity of the 100 block of Lanai Village in Diamondhead, Mississippi. He has never been heard from again. All of his personal belongings, including his two cars, were left behind.

Price's loved ones stated he was in good mental condition at the time of his disappearance. They believe he may have met with foul play. There was a small spot of blood found in the bathroom after his disappearance, but it is unclear whether it has anything to do with his case.

Price wrote two checks totaling $3,000 to the same person, a car salesman, on the day he went missing. It is unknown whether the transaction had anything to do with his disappearance. The checks were deposited in two different bank accounts, one in Gulfport, MS and the other in Lafayette, LA. Those accounts belonged to the car salesman. The salesman had allegedly phoned the car dealership the day Price disappeared to say he would be late to work that morning, because his wife's car was stuck in the mud.

The car salesman and another man were the only people ever listed as suspects, but aside from an unlikely confession, police have insufficient evidence to bring charges.

Price is a World War II veteran. His disappearance remains unsolved and he is presumed deceased

<<Investigators have a suspect in his case, but there is insufficient evidence to bring charges. There were no signs of a struggle inside Price's condo and nothing was missing. In 2006 divers searched the murky bottom of a golf course pond and sewer lines in the community for clues.>>

The POI in Floyd’s case was also a POI in another case where Frank Roberts was found murdered. Both men had loaned money to the same man, John Paul Necaise as mentioned in this article. He had also been in contact with both men just before their disappearances.

case details:

Price was last seen at approximately 8:00 p.m. after being dropped off by his brother at his condominium in the 100 block of Lanai Village in Diamondhead, Mississippi. The following day, Price’s brothers became alarmed when he did not respond to messages and missed a doctor’s appointment he was supposed to attend with his brother. They went to do a welfare check and found both of his vehicles in the driveway. They found nothing to be out of place except his bed being unmade which was uncharacteristic of Price as he was very tidy and would have made it when he got out of bed.

Price had recently moved to the area after the death of his wife. The only people he knew and really spent time with were his brothers. They knew when they were unable to locate him inside of his residence that he had probably not left with anyone and called law enforcement. The crime lab came out and processed Price’s condo for evidence. A small trace of blood was found but it is unclear if it relates to Price’s disappearance.

On the day Price went missing, he wrote two separate checks totaling $3,000. The relationship between the men or how then knew one another is unknown. In October of 2004, Frank Roberts, another older male disappeared and was found four days. He had been murdered. Roberts’ wife states that a man came to her home and told her husband that he would repay a loan he owed him on the following day. On the day the men were supposed to meet, Roberts left his home and never returned. Later, a ransom call was made to the Roberts home. Mrs. Roberts called authorities immediately and the Federal Bureau of Investigation became involved. They were able to find that Roberts’ credit card had been used at a car wash after his disappearance. They were able to identify the male using it as John Paul Necaise. He is the same man suspected in the disappearance of Price. Necaise was found guilty of capital murder in the case of Frank Roberts’. He attempted to commit suicide in the courthouse holding cell. He was hospitalized and removed from life support the following day.
Price’s body has never been located and his case remains unsolved at this time.
