Circumstances of Disappearance:
Rayborn went missing from Wesson, Mississippi on September 27, 2010. He was last seen in Pike County after leaving his mother’s residence in Wesson. He was scheduled to report to his probation officer on September 28th but failed to arrive. He has never been heard from again. It is uncharacteristic for him to not be in touch with his mother, and after two months of no contact, his family reported him missing.

Rayborn had been dating a woman in Louisiana at the time of his disappearance and may have traveled there. He is considered a fugitive since he never reported back to his parole officer. His whereabouts remain unknown.

Mother: I believe he’s dead​

“I believe he’s dead.”

Cathy Miller cried as she uttered those words. She’s been praying to find out the truth since she reported her son, Jason C. Rayborn, missing seven years ago.

She has struggled with thoughts of never seeing her son. But she also wants to know what happened to him. She even dreamed he disappeared.

Police on 2010 cold case: ‘Someone out there has the answer’ - Daily Leader

The search continues for leads on the 2010 disappearance of a Wesson man.

Jason Rayborn was reported missing to Wesson Police Department on Nov. 23, 2010. He was described as 5-foot-1 and 110 pounds.

Rayborn was believed to be headed on foot from Pike County in the direction of Franklinton, Louisiana.

“We have exhausted many leads and received help from agencies in Mississippi and Louisiana,” a Tuesday post from Wesson PD read. “Someone out there has the answer on what happened to Jason. The family needs answers. We have not forgotten and (will) strive to get that answer for as long as it takes.”

Details of Disappearance​

Rayborn was last seen after leaving his mother's residence in Wesson, Mississippi on September 27, 2010. He is believed to have been traveling on foot from Pike County, Mississippi in the direction of Franklinton, Louisiana at the time of his disappearance. His truck was found abandoned in Pike County.

He was staying with his mother in Wesson, but he was on probation in Covington, Louisiana and had to report to his probation officer every thirty days. September 28 was one of the days Rayborn was supposed to see the officer. He never showed up for the meeting and has never been heard from again.

According to Rayborn's mother, he had a girlfriend or ex-girlfriend in Louisiana at the time of his disappearance, whom he was deeply in love with and may have tried to visit. It's unclear whether he saw her around the time of his disappearance. His mother reported him missing on November 23, almost two months after he was last seen.

Rayborn's mother believes he's deceased, as she doesn't think he would have walked out of his life without telling someone. His case remains unsolved.
