Mackenzie is believed to be wearing her black school jacket with a cheer logo on the back and is most likely wearing either black and white Nike tennis shoes or pink Crocs. She does not have her phone with her. She may have a nose piercing and currently has braces on her teeth. Additionally, she has a birthmark slightly larger than a quarter on the inner side of her right forearm near the elbow.

Authorities continue search for missing Blue Springs girl, possible runaway

Union County Sheriff Jimmy Edwards said early Sunday that they were still looking for Mackenzie Milam, 15, from vanished from the Blue Springs-East Union area late Thursday.

The sheriff said she does have a phone but did not have it with her because it had been taken away for disciplinary reasons. That means she has been unable to easily communicate with friends and that could have been at least part of a reason to run away.

Union County Sheriff Jimmy Edwards said early Sunday that they were still looking for Mackenzie Milam, 15, from vanished from the Blue Springs-East Union area late Thursday.

“We don’t think she has been abducted,” the sheriff said, adding this appears to be more a case of a runaway. "There's been no evidence of foul play."

She was last seen on County Road 197 in the East Union school area about 10 p.m. ThursdaY.

Union County Sheriff Jimmy Edwards said the Blues Springs teen reported missing Thursday has returned home safely.

Union County Sheriff Jimmy Edwards said the Blues Springs teen reported missing Thursday has returned home safely.

"She showed up about 10 last night (Sunday)," he said. "She did not reveal where she had been." She was apparently unharmed.
