Marshall County borders TN and HWY 22 passes near Chewalla Lake, where the body was found, going north to Memphis. It's being investigated as a possible homicide, because the body appears to have a bullet wound to the head.

The body has not been identified, but investigators released a picture of a man and a truck. They said they want to talk to the man in the picture.

They identified the body as Samuel Deward Smith of Arkansas. They are trying to find his dog and truck now.

They have identified the suspect as Joshua L Fletcher of Louisana. He's considered armed and dangerous.

Poor Sam and his dog :/ Mr.Fletcher seems to have some real issues, starting with dressing himself.

Jury selection begins Monday for man accused in Marshall County killing

MARSHALL COUNTY, Miss. —Jury selection begins on Monday for the man accused of murdering a 20-year-old Arkansas man nearly two years ago in Marshall County.

In July 2017, Samuel Smith of Pulaski County, Arkansas was discovered dead by fishermen at Chewalla Lake, several days after he texted his sister that he was going to go camping in the area with his border collie Kava.
