Another photo showing her dog now. Her friend has updated on FB and requested for everyone to share.

**Update as of 2/22 at 10:05am EST: someone has messaged Danits boyfriend to say they saw Bamba (Danit’s dog) at the dog park around 7pm on 2/21 - trying to cross the river on the north side, and then running east.**

there's more info on FB if you search her name, including info about who she lives with

Missing People in America has posted that she checked out of her hotel in Missoula and her car and phone were found at the park

she is a traveling nurse (which would be why she was at a hotel IMO):

her FB (no posts since 2022):

I agree, the dog being spotted scared and trying to cross the river is frightening. I'm worried she may have accidentally ende up in the water, if it's icy around the banks where one might slip and fall, or the dog went into the water and she went in after him, but only the dog made it out at that location. Here's some info on the dog park at that location (Dog Park at Jacob's Island). It does have river access and is not fenced in. https://www.rover.com/blog/top-7-dog-parks-missoula-mt/ Here's a google view, the Dog park is literally on an island, with two branches of the South Fork River running north and south of it. Looks like Danit is a nurse - Log into Facebook

Friends, family, co-workers are commenting she is a traveling nurse - was traveling with her dog Bamba from Colorado to WA State - her next nursing assignment. So she stopped in Missoula at the dog park, likely to let Bamba run around a bit.

Thanks, Knox, for the info.

Very sad to see the announcement from the Missoula P.D. from above, to wit and my bolding:
"it has been determined that Danit has likely drowned in the Clark Fork River."
Why did the announcement state, "has likely drowned"?
Did the P.D. find her body? I guess the P.D. was trying to put it gently.
Hoping her dog will come home.
So, so sad. Prayers for those who loved her.

Missoula is a city in and the county seat of Missoula County, Montana, United States. It is located along the Clark Fork River near its confluence with the Bitterroot and Blackfoot rivers in western Montana and at the convergence of five mountain ranges, and thus it is often described as the "hub of five valleys".
