He is believed to be with 43-year-old Lanetta Mellstead. Authorities say the non-custodial mother took her 7-year-old son from the custodial father. She abuses drugs and is considered a direct threat to the life of the child.

Mellstead has the alias names of Van Campen, Karisa, Ross and Lanetta.

Police say she is the non-custodial mother of Tyran. Her phone was last pinged in Western Montana or Idaho, possibly travelling west. Investigators say she abuses drugs and is considered a direct threat to life of this child.

UPDATE - Mineral Co. boy found safe, Amber Alert cancelled
Idaho State Police report that the Mineral County Sheriff's Office has located Tyran Ban Campen was abducted by his non-custodial mother, 43-year-old Lanetta Mellstead.

A news release states the child was found safe along with the vehicle sought in connection with Amber Alert.

Lanetta Mellstead, 43, was taken into custody, state law enforcement officials said in a follow-up message around at approximately 9:45 Thursday morning. The AMBER Alert was first issued around 4:30 a.m. Thursday.

@imstilla.grandma, those ^^^ articles are concerning the Amber Alert in Pennsylvania. There were three AA's yesterday (all found safe!) and I think that thread has been pulled; I followed that one too and can't find it now. MOO
