I'd never heard of the mutated adenovirus that first showed in basic training recruits then moved on to Texas and Oregon, and thought others might also like to know of this strain that can cause severe respiratory problems and even death.

I hate to hear stuff like this. I have a had a respiratory problem that includes a horrible cough and a stuffy nose since the last week in October or about 3 weeks.
I have been through medications, 2 doctor visits and zero relief. I had a chest xray yesterday and I assume it was ok since I haven't heard anything from the doctor yet.
I cannot even recall the last time I had any kind of cold, flu or illness.

I started thinking yesterday maybe it was a weird new cold strain and then you post this! ack!

I don't really think this is what I have or anything, it just is funny you would post it.
