Dayanna Arizbeth Cuén Valenzuela, 15, was last seen at 8:15 a.m. on May 30 when she left her home in Ciudad Obregón, Sonora, while riding the bus to school. According to Dayanna's mother, she usually accompanies her daughter to the bus stop and makes sure she gets on safely, but did not come with her on the day she went missing. At around 11 a.m. her mother learned that her daughter never arrived at school. She normally rides the bus with another classmate. Her mother spoke with Dayanna's teachers who said they didn't notice anything out of the ordinary in the days leading up to her disappearance.
As of June 3, authorities refused to search for Dayanna or send out any alerts about her disappearance to the public. Her mother is pleading for the State Attorney General's Office to take action.
She was last seen wearing a pink blouse, blue jeans, and black sneakers. She was also carrying a blue Nike backpack.
