"A man stripped naked and jumped into a shark tank — twice — at Ripley’s Aquarium in Toronto on Friday night.

Police say he was asked to leave the tank by security after his first jump around 10:30 p.m.

He exited but then jumped right back into the tank on the main floor.

He then got out, put his clothes back on and left the aquarium.

Police say there were no injuries to the man, other visitors or animals.

"Wearing nothing except a large smile, a man jumped into the largest exhibit at Ripley's Aquarium of Canada in downtown Toronto late Friday and swam among sharks before security asked him to leave — but it didn't end there.

One minute-long video posted on YouTube shows the man taking off his clothes and diving into the Dangerous Lagoon, a 2.9-million-litre tank that offers an underwater gallery to dozens of marine animals.

The naked man can be seen doing the breaststroke on the surface of the water while sand tiger sharks swim within centimetres of his feet.

Green sawfish, green sea turtles, green moray eels and other species of tropical fish are also housed in the tank, according to the aquarium's website.

Naked man who jumped in shark tank at Ripley's Aquarium wanted for assault at Medieval Times
"Police believe the same man responsible for the “indecent act” also assaulted an employee at Medieval Times just two hours before the incident at Ripley’s.

Police say the suspect was being unruly and was escorted out of Medieval Times by staff. He then came back inside and allegedly damaged property.

The man was escorted out again and allegedly assaulted a 34-year-old employee outside. Police say the victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries, but paramedics say his injuries were minor."

"Spokesperson Katrina Arrogante said investigators from the city's west-end 14 Division and the downtown 52 Division connected the incidents on Monday through evidence and the clothing he was seen wearing.

The assault took place outside Medieval Times at Exhibition Place around 8 p.m. ET Friday, police said, and the victim suffered serious injuries. It's believed the suspect fled and headed to the aquarium, around five kilometres east. Officers were called to the popular tourist attraction two hours later."


"Police describe the man as 35 to 40 years old, approximately five feet, 10 inches tall and weighing around 220 pounds. He has a shaved head, a dark goatee and a tattoo on a lower leg.

Man who jumped, naked, into Toronto shark tank is from B.C.: police
"David Weaver, 37, is wanted on the charge of "mischief – interfere with property," they said.

Court records show a man of the same name and age was found guilty of theft under $5,000 in B.C. two years ago. He was fined $350 plus a $105 victim surcharge.

He is also believed to be tied to an assault that occurred near Dufferin Street and Saskatchewan Road which also occurred on Friday. In that incident, which occurred inside the Medieval Times restaurant, he's facing a possible charge of assault causing bodily harm.

Police are looking to bring Weaver into custody, and ask anyone with more information to contact them at 416-808-1400. Tips can also be left anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 416-222-8477 (TIPS).

"Police say they are looking for David Weaver, 37, of Nelson, B.C., who is also wanted in connection with an alleged assault at another location earlier Friday evening that seriously injured a man.

"The aquarium said the man was with a woman when he entered and exited the facility, but left behind his jacket and T-shirt as he scrambled to leave before police officers arrived."

One of these days, this guy's antics are going to bite him in the butt.

"Ontario Provincial Police managed to track Weaver down near Thunder Bay on Oct. 16 after recognizing and stopping his vehicle.

He was transported to Toronto, where is scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Thursday.

He is facing two charges, including assault causing bodily harm and mischief- interfering with property."
