The Maitland Police Department will continue its search Sunday morning, March 22, to locate a 13-year-old juvenile who was reported missing from the Lake Sybelia area.

Na'Sean Edward Kirkland is a black male who is five feet, five inches tall, 95 pounds, and was last seen wearing a black shirt and gray shorts. He and his brother left their home in the Windgrove area south of Lake Sybelia in Maitland about 1:30 p.m. Saturday. The brother was located near South Lake Sybelia Drive but could not provide information about Na'Sean's location. The parents reported that Na'Sean is autistic and non-verbal.

Maitland police and fire, along with other local first-response agencies, began an extensive search Saturday around the Lake Sybelia area, which included surrounding neighborhoods and the lake and shorelines. As of 7:30 a.m. Sunday, March 22, the juvenile has not been located. Search of Lake Sybelia will resume Sunday morning while police continue looking in the local area.
According to his parents, Na’Sean has eloped from home and school on several occasions and is often located in neighbors’ pools or in other bodies of water. He has limited swimming capabilities and is considered endangered. He is also known to run when approached by strangers.

Na’Sean may not respond to verbal commands and may flee when approached. Use care when making contact.
If you have any information regarding the whereabouts of this juvenile, please contact the Maitland Police Department at (407) 539-6262. Link - https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1DNSHXFj2p/

More sad news :(

A body matching the description of a teenager with autism who went missing on Saturday has been found.

Around 7:00 p.m. on Sunday the body was found in Lake Eulalia about 20 feet off shore in eight feet of water by someone who was helping aid in the search, according to Robert Sargent with the City of Maitland. The lake is a short distance from the family’s home.
