I can't seem to find a post about Nayantara so posting to try and spread awareness and get any thoughts on her death. She never returned home from school and news reports indicate the police think she was kept alive for four days after going missing. There seems to be some debate if the police believed the family was responsible (which I can't quite understand as they reported her missing on the 4th so she would have been kept alive, beaten, sexually assaulted, all while the police searched. Seems unlikely for the family to have done this)
There's very little online; probably as it would have been before big internet coverage and the family possibly didn't have the means to push the case out there. Below article gives a summary and compares it to another missing girl that happened the same month

It looks like it was considered as a case for further DNA testing in 1999 but doesn't appear that happened / there were results from it as I can see nothing further
Murdered 11 year olds should always be newsworthy imo. I hope her case isn't cold forever.

Too little, too late for one little girl?
Nayantara, from east London, and Lindsay, from Yorkshire, disappeared i n November. Esther Oxford reports on how the police dealt with the two cases
