Greensboro Police Searching For Missing UNCG Student

Greensboro Police are searching for a missing woman.

Police are looking for 23-year-old, Anastasia Zitko who was reported missing Monday. She was last seen by her roommate Sunday around 10:30 p.m. Police said she left without her cell phone.

UNCG Police said Zitko is a student at the school but lives off campus.

I live on the edge of UNCG campus. I can't find any mention of which area she lived in. I have an undemanding hour and will take a ride around town past our bodies of water, train tracks by the school, etc. Its been pretty cold here at night and we have had a lot of rain. The forecast is calling for another solid week of rain. The sun is out right now so good time to look around.

Any chance she could've ditched school for sunny skies and just left her phone behind by accident?

We have also had ICE here rounding up whoever they can... stalking churches and arresting people on their way to meet with their attorneys. Anyone see any mention of her being here on a student visa or a anything?

I didnt see anything at a glance... no obvious cops at the lakes or parks. No tire tracks from the main roads off toward the lakes. Plenty of students near the train tracks by school. Some students on my street confirmed there is a UNCG alert, but no additional info.

Hopefully she is sitting on the beach taking in some rays and will call or return later. Hopefully...

I'll take my usual walk later. If anyone wants to suggest a park for my walk using Google maps, feel free. I'm having a hard time choosing one.

Edit to add: I walk with a group so it is safe and we usually drive to a park. The parks are great here in Greensboro.
