Mt. Airy is a very small town- it is Andy Griffith's home town and the real "Mayberry". Very isolated too- it is not a suburb of any metro area.

Not much to guess or speculate on here ,but a blanket missing with a skateboard .
I am guessing the vehicle information is the Skateboard .
Also one could make a make shift dolly with a skateboard so there is a scary thought.

I live in the area. There is an active search. Lots of police and helicopters are searching. Residents located close to his home have been asked to search their storage building.
