This opens a new rabbit hole, IMO. I had been really confused about the green rambler? (correct me if I'm wrong) that was confiscated from the Dedmon property because I had been picturing THIS type of green car in my head all these years. We need to know who, if anyone, in the Dedmon family owned a car like this and if it was green. What do we know about Richard? This is all just way too coincidental for me. I mean, what are the odds that a car matching the original witness descriptions of the green car turns up in a lake where Dedmon family members owned land? We could easily account for the younger girl's hair being in the car of a family member; which family member is the question?
I’ve theorized that perhaps the Rambler was used in the disposal of the bookbag. The warrants mention a Dedmon daughter driving to and from Broughton Hospital in an unreliable vehicle. The bookbag was found on the way to Broughton Hospital. I feel like this Lake Lincoln was used the night of Asha’s disappearance. There is an interesting possible connection between this vehicle being pulled from the lake in 2022 and a prison interview with Marcus Mellon that took place a year prior. The prison interview got swept under the rug, but it would be another crazy coincidence if LE finally interviewed Marcus Mellon (who claimed to have information for years) and then discovered this vehicle less than a year later. As far as I know, Marcus Mellon lived a few miles from Roy Dedmon at the time of Asha’s disappearance.

I’m glad you guys are interested in this!

Yes, I've been interested since I first heard of the case, which I believe was an episode of Disappeared. If I remember correctly, Marcus Mellon's information was discounted due to trying to make a deal for less prison time. Am I correct about this? The timing of his interview and the finding of this car in a lake definitely deserves some new eyes on it. If he did live in the area close to the Dedmon's it makes it even more interesting and deserving of closer scrutiny. Where is Marcus Mellon now?

Was the VIN number of the vehicle pulled from the lake ever traced???? Hopefully, that would show the owners of the vehicles and possibly some service records.

The Rambler was siezed from one of the Cherryville rd houses. A 90s Jaguar was seized from the rest home. At the time of the Warrants, Roy Dedmon owned 29 vehicles. I have heard rumors that people would exchange vehicles or other assets to pay for their stay at his rest home. If this is accurate, there's a long list of unknown vehicles.

Correct. His information was supposedly brushed off as being a ploy to get a better deal. He passed away.

I don’t think anyone knows, except LE. I haven’t even heard rumors of a VIN from this vehicle

LE hasn't even acknowledged it's existence to the public. Unfortunately, Cars of that time frame would have a singular serial plate(used as vin), the owner may have removed it, or it could have fallen off in the water.

I thought I remembered that he is gone now. I wonder if he was legally deposed, leaving a credible record of his story?

Is he the one that Died of Covid? I remember it being mentioned that LE went to see him in person. Hopefully, not being able to have the meeting via Zoom means they legally deposed him.
