Slain woman’s daughter missing since late spring

The Wilkes Sheriff’s Department is seeking the public’s help in finding a woman from Wilkes County who was reported missing months ago.

<<Absher said she was reported missing by her mother, Linda Kate Ward Frazier, who was found stabbed to death in her apartment on River Street in Wilkesboro on Sept. 7.

Absher said authorities have no reason to believe Linda Frazier’s death and Candy Jo Frazier’s disappearance are related.

Three people were charged with murder a few days later in the deaths of Linda Frazier, 55, and Russell William Szekely, 53, of Grove Way, Millers Creek, also found stabbed to death in Linda Frazier’s apartment. They remain in custody>>
