ohhhhhhhh what a beautiful boy :(. i noticed on her facebook she is a fan of "celebrate recovery." that is an organization for (among other things) recovering from drug and alcohol addiction. seeing this, and then reading about the open bottles of liquor, i wonder if she had a relapse of some sort. not that it would make her actions even the tiniest bit excusable.

wonder why dad is still listed in a relationship with her.

Parker Haynes is improving -

A 2-year-old boy who suffered serious head injuries over the weekend is getting better. He was placed in a medically induced coma to deal with head injuries and swelling to his brain.

“He has been taken off of medication in order to allow him to awake from the clinically induced coma. The prognosis has become much more positive for the victim.”

What a precious little child. I hope he continues to improve and is able to be fully healed from this horrible ordeal. It's so very sad when the monsters that lurk under the bed are living in the house instead.

From May 2011 -

Alamance County District Attorney Pat Nadolski said doctors from UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill were originally uncertain if the boy would survive.

A Mebane woman pleaded guilty Monday to bashing a toddler's head against a wall while left to care for him, possibly causing the boy lifelong brain damage.

---------------

Investigators believe Ayscue became angry and slammed then 2-year-old Parker Haynes into a kitchen wall, causing skull fractures, brain swelling and hemorrhaging in his eyes.

----------------------

After hearing from members of the boy’s family, Ayscue’s father and Ayscue herself, Superior Court Judge Wayne Abernathy sentenced her to a minimum of 59 months and a maximum of 80 months in prison, between four years 11 months and six years eight months.

------------------

Parker Haynes was hospitalized for 20 days after his father, Josh Haynes, found him unresponsive in his crib the evening of Dec. 11.

Christiana Ayscue tearfully read a letter of apology to the family and asked for permission to write a letter of apology for the family to read to the boy when he is older.
